Amazon has finally decided that they will be giving their popular selling Fire stick a big upgrade.
Amazon came out and announced today that they will now be shipping the new Fire TV Stick which will come with the Amazon Alexa Voice Remote. This remote will also come with Bluetooth support and it will help users to control other things apart from the Fire TV. The Remote will also come with multi-directional infrared, which will help the remote to work even if it is not facing the TV. The most exciting thing that Amazon has said is that the prices of the Fire Stick will not change. The prices will remain $39.99.
The new Alexa Remote came to the market last October when Amazon launched the Fire TV Stick 4K. This remote will now be able to control all the AV equipment which includes the speakers and the sound bar. It is expected that this remote will also work with the normal cable set-top box. This remote will also be working with the old ire TV Stick and people will be able to purchase only the remote at $29.99.
The voice controls of the remote will have the ability of the users to speak directly to Alexa with simply a press a button. Now finding TV Shows and movies to watch will be very much easier for people. People will also be able to stream music and check out the weather with the help of this device.
Amazon has announced that this Remote comes with all the latest technologies and this TV Stick will be one of the best streaming media players under $40 which will also come with control of AV other than the TV. The Roku has been in competing with the Firestick for quite a long time, but with the new updated remote, the Firestick will definitely become more popular in the market.
At the CES 2019, Amazon said that the Fire TV stick now has more than 30 million active users. The Roku has its presence in a total of 27 million homes which goes on to show that Amazon Firestick has been able to cross Roku with its sales number. Amazon is now encouraging all its present users to swap their remote so that they are able to have a better experience.
