Xiaomi announced that they have backed YI Technologies in their launch of the YI Home Camera 3 which is basically the latest entry in the company’s line up of smart home security cameras. This smart home security camera comes with a lot of features like Artificial Intelligence-based notifications and intelligent sound and object detection.

This new home security camera was unveiled at the CES 2019. This camera comes with features like lightweight design and this will be made available in the United States market from the end of January. The price of the camera is kept very competitive at $40 which is about Rs 2,800. In the introductory offer, the buyers will get a 6-month free subscription to the company’s cloud storage service which will come in handy when storing all the recorded footage of the camera.

The YI Home Camera 3 is very powerful and is recorded in Full HD at 1920 x 1080 resolutions, which will automatically be saved in the cloud server for a specific amount of time. The most notable feature of the camera is that the security camera is backed by Xiaomi. The company has said:

“False positives are generally stimulated by flying insects and with the new artificial intelligence the users will not be notified because of this.” The company has been able to accomplish all these using the advanced sound detection algorithm which helps the camera to pick up all the audio signals which are in the range of 16 feet.”

According to the Core Algorithm Developer at YI Technologies Ron Fridental:

“Users will be able to choose and put their notification an autopilot mode.”

The company has announced that the cloud storage will only be available for free for the first 6 months for people who buy it under the introductory offer. After 6-months people will have to pay according to the cloud storage subscription plan.
